Hanging instructions mural (Wallpower)
Our murals (wallpowers) are digitally printed on a high-quality non-woven substrate. This brings a number of advantages:
• no decorating table needed
• clean and easy to apply
• easy to cut to size
• easy to dry-strip, even years later!
PLEASE NOTE: Always check in advance whether the mural (wallpower) corresponds to the order and check it carefully for any errors and/or defects. Complaints on processed panels are not accepted.
A mural (wallpower) consists of several panels printed one after the other on a roll. The panels are labelled at the top with a number or letter and must be processed from left to right in order of number or letter. If the full height and/or width of the design is not used, it must be determined in advance which part of the image must be cut off. The best way to do this is by laying out the panels on the ground. Make sure that you leave a safety margin of 10 cm or so, so that you have space to cut the bottom, top and sides, because walls often have a certain gradient.
Wall preparation:
Make sure the wall is dry, smooth, clean, free of dust, and neutrally coloured. Remove all spots and even out any colour differences, or these may show through the non-woven wallpaper. Any holes or cracks must be filled and sanded smooth. Highly absorbent surfaces should be primed.
Application:
Use a methylcellulose-based wallpaper paste that is suited for use with non-woven wallpaper. Prepare the paste as directed on the packaging. Avoid heat and draught when processing the wallpaper, as these factors can cause open seams. Apply the paste to the wall, using a mohair roller. Apply the paste wider than the wallpaper to avoid touching the wallpaper on the wall with the roller when applying the next length. Apply the first strip vertically and dry on the wall and press it on with a spatula or soft brush in order to remove any air bubbles. Glue all panels (side by side). Cut the strip to size using a ruler and cutter with a break-off blade. Remove glue spots immediately after applying a panel. Do this carefully (do not scrub!) while the glue is still wet, use a soft cloth or sponge that is not too damp. Afterwards, pat dry with another soft cloth.
The above instructions should be regarded as general recommendations. Due to possible differences in surface and/or work situations, these processing instructions can never be complete in all cases.
