Hanging instructions non-woven wallpaper

Wall preparation:
Make sure the wall is dry, smooth, clean, free of dust, and neutrally coloured. Remove all spots and even out any colour differences, or these may show through the smartpaper. Any holes or cracks must be filled and sanded smooth. Highly absorbent surfaces should be primed.

Application:
Use a methylcellulosebased wallpaper paste that is suited for use with nonwoven wallpaper. Prepare the paste as directed on the packaging. Cut the wallpaper to the desired lengths, taking the pattern repeat into account. Roll up the lengths with the back side on the outside. Apply the paste to the wall, using a mohair roller. Apply the paste wider than the wallpaper to avoid touching the wallpaper on the wall with the roller when applying the next length. Now hang the dry lengths on the wall – use a plumb line for the first one – and press them against the wall using a soft brush or spatula. Use a ruler and a utility knife to cut the paper to size. Use a damp cloth or sponge to remove paste stains while still wet. Avoid heat and drafts while drying.

Check the result after hanging three lengths. Complaints will not be honoured if more than three lengths have been applied.
