When Derk and Martien met 20 years ago, Derk was still living at home and Martien dropped by regularly. So the house is familiar territory for both of them, but it does not yet feel like their own place. They both still have the 'parental home feeling' because nothing has changed to the interior since then. Derk hopes Martien will also feel at home in the house where he grew up, but because of their different interior tastes, they have not yet succeeded in making choices for their home.

Derk likes colour and statements, Martien likes black, white and grey. Derk likes multiple seating areas, with armchairs and a nice plush sofa, but Martien would prefer a sleek corner sofa. A few things they both like to see in the new interior: the children's birth cards and some personal items from Martien's father's childhood home.

How beautifully stylist Frans knows how to bring Martien and Derk's tastes together! He creates a light base and by working with Dutch masters on the walls, he subtly adds colour. Moreover, he manages to incorporate the personal belongings in a great way. For the dining room, Frans chose our wallpowers 358126 and 358127 from the Masterpiece collection. What a fantastic transformation!
