Ideas that can be put in place in no time

Working from home? Create a pleasant work space!

It takes a bit of improvising but it’s great to see how everyone, by being a bit creative, has made a (or even several) work space(s) in the home. Perhaps it’s not always ideal, but what are you going to do? This is the situation we currently live in. In order to make working from home with the entire family a bit more fun, we have gathered some ideas for you here. Ideas, which can be put into place in no time and which you will enjoy for a long time to come!

1. Desk separator

Are you working in one space with several members of your family? Or even at one table? Then a desk separator is ideal! Cut a panel to the desired size, place it in the middle of the table and prop it up. You have now basically created two work spaces already. Or you could separate the part of your dining table that you use as your work space so that you do not have to look at your work stuff all day. You can decorate each side with wallpaper to provide a bit more atmosphere. You could choose the pattern for one side and your children or partner could choose a cool wallpaper for the other side. Everyone is happy and it is fixed in a jiffy! Later on, you can for instance use the panel as a headboard for your bed.

What do you need:

  • Panel
  • Something to support the panel with and keep it in place
  • Wallpaper supplies
  • Wallpaper

2. Room separator

Just like with the desk separator you can easily divide a room with a room separator. Not just practical for now but also for later on when everything has hopefully returned to ‘normal’. With a room separator you will always have a nice way to quickly hide some ‘clutter’ or to create a corner in which you can withdraw for a bit.

What do you need:

  • Room separator (which you can of course also construct entirely by yourself)
  • Wallpaper supplies
  • Wallpaper

3. A house make-over!

Of course, you could also opt for a complete make-over… In that case, make sure that everyone in the house has a nice space to retreat to. Make your children so excited about their room that they will happily spend a couple of hours each day there doing their homework. And give your own bedroom or your living and dining room a make-over as well. Because now you can enjoy your home even longer, in which case a bit of a make-over works miracles for your mood.

What you need: wallpaper, of course!

Find your perfect wallpaper by simply filtering for style, pattern, or colour. Think of basic, geometrical, romantic, or animals, and all the colours of the rainbow.
